Comments:
In the 1960s the original stone abutments were faced with concrete when the roadway was strengthened with steel I-beams. In 1978 it was painted barn red. One of three bridges (Station Covered Bridge [WGN 45-12-08], Second Covered Bridge [WGN 45-12-10] and Third Covered Bridge [WGN 45-12-11]) within 0.4 mile of each other on Cox Brook Road. All three bridges are painted barn red. A sign over the portal proclaims "Town Lattice 1872". It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 15, 1974.
