Comments:
½ of 45-08-05, private, moved 1973. This bridge was built by Cummings Construction from wood salvaged from the Garfield Bridge which crossed the Green River at Garfield. The Garfield Bridge was strengthened in 1946 to handle construction vehicles working on the Green River Reservoir project. It was abandoned in 1965. Thurston Twigg-Smith of ASA Properties Vermont, a real estate company, bought the bridge to provide access to two of the companies properties. The trusses were taken down, cut in half, and trucked to the building sites.
