Comments:
This is the longest multiple kingpost bridge in Vermont. 16-panel truss. The timber deck was replaced and distribution beams and steel knee braces were added in the 1970's. It still has some of its original dry stone abutment work (though capped with concrete in the 1970s) on the west side. Restoration began in April 2002 and has been completed at a cost of $609,213. During the restoration, they salvaged the trusses, the chords and some roof timbers as well as adding glue-laminated stringers beneath the flooring. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 17, 1974.
