Comments:
Closed. Flat roof. According to the Winterset Madisonian of March 25, 1880, "One of the best wooden bridges in this county has just been built over Middle river, on the road from Winterset to St. Charles. It was built by H.P. Jones and G.K. Foster under the supervision of ex-Supervisor Beerbower, and is known as the Holliwell bridge. The iron bridge that spanned the river at that point is to be moved to the Sulgrove Ford over North River in Douglas Township." Holliwell was renovated in 1995 at a cost of $225,000. It is featured in The Bridges of Madison County movie.
