19-19N-5E. Closed, restored 1999. 2 lane. The contract to build the Potter's Ford bridge was awarded to Josiah Durfee & Co. at a special session of the board on 17-Oct-1870 for a bid of $13,000. The bridge was to be a Howe truss of 246 feet with stone abutments and one stone pier. The bridge was accepted at a special session April 11, 1871 and an additional $316.66 for extras was allowed. Per The Noblesville Ledger, March 15, 1871, "One and a half miles above town is the new bridge, built last fall and winter by the county, it is completed except to the extent of a few hundred dollars worth of work, which will be completed this spring, it is about two hundred and sixty feet in length, with stone piers, and will cost when completed about fourteen thousand dollars." Per The Noblesville Ledger, June 18, 1875, "The Potter's ford bridge is the most substantial in the County. It was completed in 1871, Durfee, Giger and Williams being the contractors."
