Comments:
The first bridge at this location was built in 1805 and burned on September 30, 1857 along with the first wooden railroad bridge (built c1842) and the General Store of Joseph T. Goss. "Hooksett Historical Sketches" states that this first bridge was covered although in 1805 that would have been unlikely. The replacement bridge was destroyed by an ice freshet on March 20, 1859. The third bridge stood until replaced with a steel structure in 1909.
