Comments:
This was a two lane bridge. It was built by Daniel Stewart and friendly Indians at a cost of $5500. Trees for the lower chords were reported to have been up to 96' long. The bridge was left in place when the area was cleared for the Sacandaga Reservoir. It was thought that the bridge could be moved to a new location after the reservoir was created. High winds on April 23, 1930, caused waves that washed the bridge off its abutments and destroyed it. Some of the lumber was salvaged and used in two garages in the area.
