Comments:
18-panel truss. Bids for the bridge to replace Barnes Mills after the 1874 fire were accepted and the firm of Martin E. McGrath and Lyman Wells won for a bid of $1,898. The bridge was initially insured, as a result of the 1874 arson, but the insurance was dropped before long. The bridge was bypassed probably in the late 1990s. Successor to OH/35-82-13x. Although there were two support piers, the bridge was a single span with a large amount of camber (3 feet). The bridge was destroyed by arson June 6, 2013.
