Comments:
County Bridge #18. Per Old Covered Bridge Days of Greene County by Earle Robert Forrest (1953), the bridge was built in the winter of 1919/1920 and there had not been a bridge at this location prior to that time. This is the highest clearance of any covered bridge in the state and the longest Queenpost-type in the county. It had the floor set on a diagonal." (Falk) Current photos show sacrificial tire track running boards laid down on top of the diagonal deck.
