Comments:
The bridge is named after two builders, Lucien Bolduc and his father. In September 2008, a group of citizens and businesses in Ste-Clotilde urged replacement of the covered bridge stating that it is too dangerous. In March 2012, it was announced that the Bolduc Bridge would be moved 13 meters and be replaced by a new bridge. Originally planned for fall 2012, the project was finally implemented in June 2014. Replacement work began June 9, 2014 and was completed on August 8th. The bridge was removed from its abutments on June 12th and sat in a nearby field during construction and was replaced over the river at it’s new location.
