Comments:
6-panel truss. Closed to motor vehicles. An 1872 construction date has also been suggested. A new steel and concrete bridge was built to bypass the covered bridge in 1965. The Ruggles and Randall Bridges look very similar and are easy to confuse in photographs. When comparing photos, note that the Ruggles Bridge has slightly shorter side boards.
